Bishan Fugu is an association organized around the Adinew family’s large Hambela estate, which spans from the border of the SNNP region and the Oromia region. The Hambela region is home to an estate, washing stations and collection points owned and operated by METAD Agricultural Development PLC. The family run company was a gift given to the family by emperor Selassie in honor of the matriarch, Muluembet Emiru, the first Female African Piolot. METAD is dedicated to equal employment opportunities for both men and women as well as education for the youth throughout their community, partnering with various organizations that help them to achieve these goals.
This particular crop is a fully washed coffee, resulting in one of the cleanest Ethiopian cups we’ve ever had. It has an outstanding floral body, with strong lavender and bergamot notes.
