Our darkest roast, Black Diamond is bold and robust in the cup with a smooth, approachable finish. In specialty coffee, dark roasts have a bad reputation – but we’re fundamental believers in a great dark roast. And Black Diamond is it. This year-round offering features South- or Central American coffees that present the best flavor profile for our coffee.
Evan Pollitt, Director of Coffee: “It’s important in creating a taste profile for Black Diamond that we roast it dark without adding unpleasant bitterness. We adjust air flow in the roast process quite a bit to reveal the flavors we want – lots of dark chocolate, and a tobacco-like note without the smokiness. We’re especially proud of this coffee.”
