When Summit opened its doors to Main St. in Davidson in September, 1998, no one could have dreamed what would become of this little coffee business. Now 20 years later, with 3 cafes and a quickly growing roasting business, we pause to celebrate what we’ve accomplished, the people who’ve helped on our journey, and the adventure ahead.
To help celebrate, we’ve introduced our third iteration of 1998 — a coffee we will sell for the month of September. A portion of the proceeds from each bag will benefit Team Summit Foundation. This year, the coffee comes from Huehuetenango, Guatemala, where Brian and Lane visited in March 2017. La Ceiba, sourced in partnership with Ally Coffee, is a super-drinkable coffee with notes of red grape, milk chocolate, pear and rose.
