In the fall of 1998, Summit Coffee opened its doors with a simple aim: to provide good beans, good people and a good environment. More than 13 years later, our mission hasn’t changed and the coffee is still damn good. But the Summit experience, on Main Street in Davidson, N.C., and beyond, is about more than the cup.

Summit is good people. Our baristas are an eclectic and personable crew, working hard and making people happy. We are a home for musicians; we host concerts three nights a week with artists who write the Summit soundtrack. The hundreds of customers who come through the doors each day — students, townies, artists, professors, entrepreneurs, firemen — breathe vitality into our 110 year-old building.

Summit is good community. People gather at Summit for book clubs, happy hours, business meetings, date nights, concerts, classes and reunions. On an average day, there are 2,327 conversations that happen at Summit Coffee. We’ve done the research. And since the community supports Summit, Summit supports the community. We have raised more than $100,000 for charitable organizations. We make it a point to get involved.

Summit is good quality. We keep open relationships with our small-scale farmers, and we aim to provide them with the good quality of life they earn. From Nicaragua to Kenya to East Timor, they deserve a just reward for the coffee they farm.

Summit is good. Join us.
